Silver Armour Upgrade

Tips General info this upgrade is an Easteregg made by the Larians, so you have no direct quest - but a few eventually leading to this upgrade
Quest Kill the Stalker a hermit asks you to kill a monster and flags the cave for you. Just loot his house before you go, there is a key in the wooden pillar. If you go to this cave you will encounter a surprise. This is in fact the start for the Larian Easteregg. You get this strange Silver Breastplate with the description telling you, it needs something special to upgrade = the only hint - pics 1-4
Quest Find Rimmer in Glenborus dwarf Strobur misses his brother and asks you to send his greetings to Rimmer, a dwarf in Glenborus/East Rivertown area. It is optional to do this quest - as you can buy the 5 bottles of Rimmer ale via speech option for 5 gp each from the brewer - pic 10
Quest Treasure maps as soon as you have found one treasure map, you will see this entry:"I have heard of a strange map divided into several parts that are spread out all over the world. I am curious as to where it would lead me - If I could find all parts of it that is..." - pic 5
1. Spider cave NW of the archer guild in the SW Rivertown area - pic 6
2. Trader Mpenzak/Verdistis has one via speech option - IF you already have one map in your inventory
3. NE part of the Verdistis sewers IN a corpse - pic 7-8
4. Prison cell in the Dwarven Halls/Dark Forest. You need lockpick lvl 5 to open it. It only says "scroll" not "map" - pic 9

Quest Bring on the treasure when you have all 4 maps, you will see where they lead to -> NW corner of the Dark Forest mountain range. The cave entrance is very well hidden - pic 11-12
Tips In the cave fight your way past steel skeletons, gather 3 crystals for the sacrifice bowl. Drag&drop them into this bowl, a portal will open and you can fight the guardian in there, after you've awakened him by clicking on that tombstone. After his defeat a south wall will open, proceed. North of all those chests and treasure, you will see 4 ropes on and around a teleporter stone. Take them.
The 2 last things you require now are this: You need 2002 gp, so get rid of the rest, by dropping the gp on the ground and then dragging it back into your inventory, press CTRL: a pop up window will appear and you can type in the appropriate amount. 2002 was the relase date of this game
and you need one pyramid in your inventory, the other one safely somewhere else. You need this way of transport/teleport to return from the Larian Easteregg area as the teleporter there sadly doesn't work

A last quick check-up before you step on the cave teleporter:
Silver Breastplate
4 treasure maps
5 bottles of Rimmer ale
4 ropes from the teleporter stone there
2002 gp
don't carry other beer/ale etc, additional money or other ropes with you. Everything else may remain in your inventory - pics 13-18

as soon as you're in this area, don't bother about quarreling Ingmar and Marian, you can't keep them from their eternal fight. Just find one of the 4 hatches, open them by clicking and drag&drop one rope over it to descend. You have to get into the east area, there is a hatch to a bug infested cellar. SAVE! These bugs are hard. The armour upgrade has occured as soon as you have killed the last bug - save again, before you open your inventory, so you can reload if you don't like your stats. This armour is invisible on your char, but the stats are still valid
That's it. For further details - please look into the pics 19-22

if you wish to leave this area for good, keep the pyramid in your inventory and click on it or simply use the option "use" in your pyramid task bar - pic 20
